ACTIVITIES
The Mackenzie area is an outdoors wonderland from designated tramping tracks to fishing, cycling, skiing, sight seeing, hunting, gliding, scenic flights, mountain climbing and a variety of water sports.
The area is also a world renowned trout fishery and offers a stunning location to fly fish in the Mackenzie Basin. Your host, Ian, is a member of the New Zealand Professional Fishing Guides Association and has been fishing in the area for many years.
Within an hour of Twizel there are several ski fields including Ohau which is just a 30 minute drive. This trip to the ski field exposes you to even more spectacular scenery as you drive around the western side of Lake Ohau.

Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail
Alps 2 Ocean Cycle Trail starts at Mt Cook and finishes at Oamaru . This is a fantastic addition to the area and our location is spot on! We are able to provide secure environment for the bikes and of course walking distance to all facilities.
